Job Summary:
Under minimal direction, calibrates, sets up, maintains and troubleshoots EEG and Sleep Lab equipment; performs night and or day recordings, scores and processes records, and ensures all studies are interpreted in a timely manner.
Job Duties:
Calibrates, sets up, and maintains sleep disorders equipment per standard protocol.
Performs and scores sleep studies, including sleep apnea studies, multiple sleep latency tests, nasal CPAP trials and maintenance of wakefulness tests.
Ensures patients safety and compliance with infection control guidelines.
Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and development.
Must successfully pass RPSGT board exam within two years of eligibility (One year starts after 819 hours of on-site training).
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of Polysomnographic program or equivalent course work. A Minimum of 819 hours of on-site training is required to be eligible to sit for RPSGT board exam.
Experience: Experience in the performance of CSAS, MSLT, CPAP and other sleep procedures.
Licensure: BCLS and RPSGT credentials or, must achieve RPSGT credential within two years of eligibility to sit for board exam.
Skills & Abilities: Interpersonal skills. Computer experience. Ability to set-up, calibrate, troubleshoot, perform and score all types of sleep tests. Must be proficient in operating all types of equipment utilized in a sleep center..
