Job Title: Clinical Nurse - MSICU/Troy
General Summary: The Clinical Nurse utilizes the nursing process with depth and understanding. Develops and implements plan of care for patients based on scientific research rationale. Communicates patient outcomes & changes to multidisciplinary team members. Delegates assignments/tasks with appropriate follow-up. Contributes to achievement of unit objectives. Develops teaching strategies for patient/family. Serves as mentor/resource for members of health care team. Maintains current knowledge in area of clinical practice.
The MSICU is a 12 bed medical surgical ICU. Patient to nurse ratio is 2:1. ACLS is required within 6 months of hire.
Standard Qualifications:
--Education: graduation from an accredited school of nursing, current Michigan RN licensure, AHA BLS. ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. prefer CCRN, BSN.
--Experience: at least 1-2 years of Critical Care or Med Surg RN experience.
