Transportation Dispatcher:
- Monitor vehicle location, route adherence and student pick up/drop off
- Monitor and respond to all radio traffic for deployed bus fleet
- Perform daily shift checks for driver dispatch and return
- Complete daily shift reports
- Contact emergency services as requested by any driver involved in any event, the on duty supervisor, quality assurance supervisor or the director of transportation
- Document complaints, driver incidents, action response to all incidents outside of daily routine
- Respond to incoming phone inquiries with the idealism that you are the first line of quality customer service
- Perform other duties as directed
- Adhere to established company policies, procedures and guidelines
Job Requirements:
- Read, write and speak English fluently
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience
- Capable of operating multi-line telephone equipment and dispatch computer equipment.
Candidates should:
- Have the ability to work in a structured, fast-paced environment with defined deadlines
- Be self-motivated and require little supervision
- Possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong written/spoken skills when reporting to management
- Be familiar with basic computer functions and willing to be trained in the use of transportation software
- Have a willingness to train others in the performance of job function
