Position Purpose:
Job Description Details:
Summary
Assesses patient's nutritional status and plan; implements and/or recommends the appropriate nutritional care for the patient. Provides individual and group nutrition counseling to in/outpatients for diabetes and other diagnoses. Acts as a nutrition information resource for physicians, nursing, other hospital personnel, the media, and the community.
What You Will Need
Education
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics approved experience
Credentials/Licensure
Minimum Registry eligible for Commission on Dietetic Registration. Must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
Preferred Certification in specialty area or intent to complete in two years

Minimum Develop nutritional education materials. Effective written and verbal communication skills and
customer service skills. Dynamic presentation skills in group and individual settings. Ability to deal with people with diverse backgrounds and educational levels. Effective problem solving skills. Ability to work in team-oriented environment
