Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, were looking to add a Quality Engineer located in Coopersville, MI.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer will maintain quality engineering programs, standards, and improvements.
What a typical day looks like:
Active participation with production line(s) including daily check-ins.
Develop and initiates standards and methods for inspections, testing and evaluation including development and maintenance of PFMEA, Control Plans
Responsible for reviewing data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability.
Initiates corrective actions as needed and tracks to completion.
Responsible for all quality functions for a production line.
Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspection, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment.
Analyzes reports and returned products and facilitates team meetings for corrective actions.
Approves product, process, and equipment qualifications.
The experience were looking to add to our team:
Preferred Bachelor of Science or Relative Years of Experience
5+ years of Automotive Industry experience or combination of quality engineering experience
Proficient in Core Tools and APQP process (PFD, FMEA, CP) FMEA/VDA experience a plus.
Working knowledge of Lean, 5S, MSA, Six Sigma
GD&T experience required
Working knowledge of standards such as IATF 16949: 2016, ISO9001:2015, customer specific requirements above IATF 16949:2016
Proven Problem-solving skills
SPC implementation in manufacturing environments (Preferred)
Microsoft Office Applications (Preferred)
