This position is located at Perrigo Holland and will report to the Facility, Maintenance, and Engineering Manager. This position will be responsible for performing maintenance, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, repairs, testing, and operation of various utilities for example: boilers/water treatment, chilled water, chillers, compressed air, dust collectors, purified water, and HVAC systems.This position will be required to execute related quality, safety, and compliance preventative maintenance and demand WOs and perform data entry in computerized maintenance system (i.e. SAP) for work order processing.This position will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining general housekeeping duties in facility and utilities areas to meet regulatory requirements (for example: cGMP, OSHA, etc.).Continuously helps to implement improvements projects to improve productivity, quality, and reduce costs. Performs other related duties specific to the department as assigned. Weekend on-call and holiday work will be required periodically during shutdowns.Requirements: Strong communicatorAble to prioritize multiple tasks and work individually or in a team environmentGeneral Education Development (GED) or equivalency Must have at least 5+ years of utilities background in some of the following areas: boilers/water treatment, chilled water, chillers, compressed air, dust collectors, plumbing, purified water, and/or HVAC systemsJourney worker certification required and/or certification, in a Department of Labor (DOL) approved apprenticeship in applicable areas, would be considered. Electrical experience and knowledge preferred Upon employment, employee will work towards a dual trade in the Perrigo apprenticeship program, for example, mechanical, HVAC, Boilers, Purified Water, and/or Electrician Mentoring apprenticesMust possess basic reading comprehension skills and be able to read, speak and comprehend instructions in English. Requires ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Computer skills, maintenance management systems, building management system, and the ability to navigate through computer-based training systems preferred.
