Position Summary:
The primary function of the Deburr Operator is finish parts to the production schedule in order to meet customer requirements. Performs machine and hand finishing techniques to smooth and blend rough components into finished products
Responsibilities:
- Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, sketches, and product/engineering specifications
- Remove burrs and sharp edges on the outside and inside of metal parts using hand, pneumatic tool and electric tools
- Maintain quality surface finishes with finished features during bench work
- Inspect parts for visual defects
- Assure revision correlation between the Manufacturing Traveler and Operation Sketch
- Request/obtain applicable gauging/tooling
- Perform machine set-up
- Perform the required measurements to assure product quality
- Operate machine(s)
- Notify your Leader of all nonconforming product
- Identify and record nonconforming product in the Manufacturing Traveler
- Collect/record data accurately and completely
- Keep the machine, bench, and surrounding area neat and clean
- Assure your operation is completed on all parts (Count Your Parts)
- Document the correct quantities and properly sign the Manufacturing Traveler including the Nonconforming Product Log
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED
· 3+ years of experience as an operator
· Knowledge of air tools operation
· Shop Math Skills
· Must be able to stand for extended period of time
· Must be able to work overtime
· Proficiency in using a wide variety of precision measuring tools is required
