Day-to-Day Role:
Manage projects or programs of moderate size, complexity, and duration.
Coordinate members of the project team including engineers, designers, and technicians
Develop project plans, schedules, and work plans, estimate resources and costs for all stages, and track financial health of projects
Work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to define the project scope, goals, and deliverables
Document and track project plan
Develop and maintain relationships with team members, project sponsor, and stakeholders
Maintain continuous alignment of project scope with defined strategic business objectives
Communicate both technical and non-technical information to all levels of staff and management
Monitor progress and critical path of projects, identify problems impeding progress, and work creatively and analytically demonstrating teamwork and innovation
Communicate risks, changes and other information relating to the project
Proactively manage scope change requests
Provide reports, updates and feedback to management and project team
Identify successful and unsuccessful project elements after project completion and provide recommendations for improvement
Mentor other engineering project managers
Core Skills & Qualifications:
The idealcandidate for both levels must possess all of the following:
Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects, and priorities
Ability to establish project plans, regularly monitor and track progress on work projects, and communicate with project partners
Excellent verbal and written skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related processes
Ability to understand and apply financial analysis
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of products
The ideal Mid level candidate must possess all of the following:
Requires one of the following:
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in engineering, business, or a technical related field of study and three (3) years of project management related experience
Associate degree and eight (8) years project management related experience
High school diploma or equivalent and twelve (12) years of project management related experience
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint. SAP and Stage Gate
Project management training or training in project management related fields to include risk, quality, and scheduling
PMP certification
The ideal Senior level candidate must possess all of the following:
Requires one of the following:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field of study and five (5) years of project management related experience
Associates degree and ten (10) years of project management related experience
High school diploma or equivalent and fourteen (14) years of project management related experience
PMP certification
Experience successfully managing and completing multiple large, complex engineering projects
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint. SAP and Stage Gate
