Job description: Purpose: To provide mail operations support for the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) Coordinator and PRAMS team. Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist with preparing survey materials and mail operations * Assist with data entry using the PRAMS Integrated Data Collection System (or back-up system). * Assist the PRAMS Coordinator and PRAMS team with other activities as needed * Participate in PRAMS human subjects training and all other trainings required by MDHHS and the PRAMS program. * Adhere to the PRAMS protocol * Assist with PRAMS-related report writing * Maintain a positive, strong, credible, professional and interpersonal relationship with all parties relevant of MPHI projects, and represent the best interest of MPHI at all times. Qualifications/Requirements: Education: Possession of an Associate’s degree in public health, or a related health or social science field is preferred, but will consider others with survey or social science research experience and/or knowledge of maternal and child health fields. Experience: No specific type or amount is required. Important Skills and Characteristics: Experience with data entry is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office and mail merge functions is useful. Knowledge of survey techniques would be very helpful. Ability to stay on task while maintaining thoughtful attentiveness to detail is critical as is possessing a desire to work collaboratively and communicate openly with a small team to improve operations and complete tasks in a timely manner. The ability to type at least 40 words per minute is preferred. RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: No assigned responsibility IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS The PRAMS Operations Assistant has a strong impact on the efficiency and integrity of the research conducted on the projects to which he/she is assigned. This position is critical to the timely and efficient completion of the projects’ operations, as well as the timely and efficient operation of the project team.
