The MOPAR Accessories, Fluids and Program Management Purchasing – Senior Professional will be responsible for leading the NAFTA based team which manages sourcing, commodity strategies and negotiations that supports a rapidly growing MOPAR business portfolio. Annual spend is over $500M. In addition, the individual will be responsible for the FCA wide global oil and chemicals bid and associated global contracts. This individual will lead the development and implementation of regional and global sourcing strategies for accessories, and oil/chemicals. Manage both tactical and strategic aspect of the supplier relationship, including negotiations, contract compliance, issue resolution, etc. Lead the contract management process, which includes tracking savings and performance measurement. This Purchasing Manager will lead MOPAR launch readiness activities on behalf of the Purchasing organization. This role is expected to maintain flexibility to manage multiple ad hoc projects in support of rapidly evolving MOPAR and Purchasing strategies, both globally and regionally. The selected candidate will also lead the settlement of all commercial issues and provide updates and status reports on issues and projects to the Senior Leadership team. The selected candidate will supervise seven (7) buyers and will be responsible for their performance management and supporting each person’s career development.
Basic Qualifications:
•Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or other closely related discipline
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in Business, Purchasing and/or Engineering which may include internship experience
•Excellent negotiation skills, strong analytical skills and experience in working in cross-functional teams
•Proven experience managing and negotiating contracts and have a strong understanding of contract law
•Effective listener and be able to build relationships in cross functional groups
•Ability to coach and manage both the buyers and the supply base and drive timely resolution of open issue
•Willing to travel internationally as needed
