Business Relationship Manager - Legal/Risk
In this critical role on AlixPartners' Corporate IT, Program Management Office team, you will have global responsibility for the strategy, execution and support of Legal/Risk information technology systems and initiatives. This position is the liaison between the Information Technology and the Legal and Risk Management teams. In this role, you will develop roadmaps, plans and business cases for the function and then manage the execution of approved initiatives in accord with program management standards promulgated by the Technology PMO.
The Business Relationship Manager-Legal/Risk is a full-time role reporting to the Director, Technology Programs, located in Southfield, Michigan. Paid relocation is not available for this position.Key Responsibilities:
•Manage and enforce IT PMO processes and systems in all aspects including building firm capabilities and delivering results.
•Lead PMO initiatives in the Legal/Risk areas utilizing appropriate technical and analytical skills to effectively advise others, as the respected expert.
•Collaborate on the development of strategic plans, roadmaps, business cases and prioritization of Legal/Risk system initiatives. Ensure sustainable relationship are maintained with the team and stakeholders, and effectively anticipate the needs of others.
•Liaison between IT and Legal and Risk for operational and other related technology issues
•Collaborate on evaluation of vendors and development of new systems requirements.
•Manage vendors providing technology services and systems to Legal/Risk.
•Support the CIO and PMO Directors in strategic and operational planning and execution for the Corporate IT department.
•Additional responsibilities as identified.Qualifications/Requirements:
•Bachelor or Master's Degree in Information Systems or a related field is required; related experience may be considered in lieu of education.
•Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in Project Management, Business Relationship Management or Business Analysis. Experience in an established consulting firm as a consultant is a plus.
•Minimum 3 years' experience in a Legal Systems support role or significant exposure to Legal and Risk business processes and systems is preferred.
•Certification in Program Management such as a PMP is preferred.
•Process and detail oriented required, and ability to grasp the big picture.
•The ideal candidate would be a creative/innovative person with a demonstrated track record of effectively collaborating with multiple parties (stakeholders, team members, etc.) to deliver memorable results.
•Polished communication skills, written and verbal, and strong executive presence with the ability to effectively influence others.
•Full-time role, primarily working in the Southfield office.
•Travel, including International travel, up to 25% may be required.
•Proficient with general MS Office tools; Project Management tools desired.
