Description: A Lead Software Engineer (Operating System Software and Technical Lead) job in Pontiac, Michigan is currently available through Belcan.
The Lead Software Engineer will be the technical lead for the development, verification, certification, and support of an embedded RTOS application. Tasks will include all phases in the software lifecycle (requirements, design, code, verification, certification, production support, and aftermarket support), as well as project management responsibilities. Will work with multi-disciplines (primarily application software and hardware engineers) to develop RTOS requirements and will provide technical leadership to the other members of the software team for the entire software lifecycle.
Lead Software Engineer duties & requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience.
Such experience should include development and verification tasks related to an embedded RTOS application, with some of that experience involving kernel development.
Knowledge of DO-178B/C FAA certification desirable.
Must also have experience leading a team and managing projects.
Knowledge of C/C++ software and PowerPC micro-controller architecture is required.
U.S. citizenship status is required.
