Description: A Lead Software Engineer job in Pontiac, Michigan is currently available through Belcan.
The Lead Software Engineer will be a senior engineer responsible for the development, verification, and support of an embedded RTOS application. Tasks will include specifying requirements, capturing design, implementing code, performing verification, and accomplishing certification tasks, as well as providing production and aftermarket support for the software. Will work with a multi-discipline team (primarily application software and hardware engineers) to develop RTOS requirements and other members of the software team for the support of the complete software lifecycle of the RTOS.
Lead Software Engineer duties & requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.
Such experience should include development and verification tasks related to an embedded RTOS application.
Knowledge of DO-178B/C or ISO 26262 certification desirable, but not a must.
Knowledge of C/C++ software and PowerPC micro-controller architecture is required.
U.S. citizenship status is required.
