Unit Description
Sodexo is seeking a results driven, highly motivated Patient Services Manager 1 to join our food services healthcare team at Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit, MI . The Patient Services Manager will report directly to the Operations Manager and be primarily responsible for the overall effectiveness of the patient meal service program. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for patient food service satisfaction. Sinai Grace Hospital is an acute care 420 bed hospital with 50 union hourly employees and 6 Food-service managers. Account currently has Expressly for You (EFY) patient meal service program, a beautiful retail outlet, and catering. The best qualified candidate will have a strong patient service background and food service operational experience. Union experience is a plus.
Additional Job Responsibilities include:
Responsible for driving patient satisfaction results.
Professional Written and Verbal Skills
Strong Nutritional Background and understanding of patient diets.
Able to manage and execute multiple priorities, and multiple long standing projects.
Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of meals, nourishments, and snacks to patients.
Conducts patient rounding and works collaboratively with Nursing Leadership to address patient related concerns.
Responsible for identifying process improvement initiatives and overseeing the implementation of those initiatives.
Ensures that employees demonstrate an active customer hospitality orientation toward patients, clients and customers.
Integrate fully within our client’s organization by becoming a trusted adviser with a customer service focus.
Regularly analyzes patient satisfaction data, financial results, and implements additional measurements and action plans in these areas to achieve optimal unit performance.
Completes required departmental reporting, including financial reports and analysis.
Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
Must meets (or exceed) Sodexo standards of operations.
Creates a positive environment and successfully motivates and manages team.
High Level Leadership and Supervisory Experience.

Position Summary
Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company.
Key Duties
Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.
Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.
Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.
Performs audits and prepares reports
