Position duties include but are not limited to: minor facility maintenance and upkeep, trash removal, equipment check-in, minor equipment assembly, basic mechanical duties on machine and assisting with the loading and unloading of equipment
Site maintenance including cleaning machines so they are neat in appearance and arranging equipment in yard in proper order by classification.
Minor facilities repair and maintenance.
Equipment check-in.
Basic machine maintenance (i.e. check & change oil).
Trash collection and removal.
Minor equipment assembly.
Keep equipment clean and organized on the yard.
Keep wash bay and yard clean and professional looking at all times
Keep parts room clean, organized, and professional looking at all times.
Keep grass cut and trash picked up around the yard
Clean and prepare equipment to be serviced and repaired.
Grease, lube, and service equipment as assigned.
Pick up parts and supplies as needed.
The deadline, service line, and equipment staging areas are to be kept clean and organized at all times.
Deliver and pick up equipment as assigned.
Equipment delivery pick up tickets and condition reports are to be completed on all equipment.
Notify management of all inoperable equipment.
Complete any and all special assignments or projects from the branch manager in a timely manner.
Deliver and pickup equipment in a safe and timely manner
Check equipment fuel, fluid levels and proper operations before loading
Rental contract, pickup tickets and damage tickets are to be filled out completely, legibly and signed by proper personnel
Demonstrate the safe and correct operation of equipment at the time of delivery.
Notify manager of damaged equipment.
Contact sales coordinator after each delivery.
Maintain service vehicles and shop equipment to present a clean and professional appearance
Storage of equipment and vehicles in appropriate manner when not in use to prevent property damage.
Act as a mentor and leader to new employees to the Utility Person position.
Safety
Keep the shop and equipment staging areas clean and free of clutter
Don’t violate safety policies or rules.
Don’t drive any equipment that you are not trained and authorized to drive.
Actively participate in safety meetings.
Use defensive driving principles
Secure all unused chains and binders when not in use
Knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a high school education with technical training.
Entry level position with technical or farming equipment background would be a plus.
Basic mechanical aptitude.
Must have and be able to maintain a Class B CDL
Ability to conduct self in a professional manner at all times
Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and listening
Product Knowledge would be a plus
Excellent customer service skills
