Summary:
- Direct and lead entire scope of projects from concept to installation.
- Serves as the primary liaison with customers for the life of the program.
- Establishes times lines and manages the progression.
- Works with team leaders to expedite project timing when necessary.
- Works with Machine Designers, Controls Engineers, Robotic Programmers, Machine Builders, CNC Programmers, Purchasing and other office personnel.
- Communicates issues and changes to the customer.
- Documents and tracks all project engineering changes.
- Manages project engineering budget.
- Arranges for shipping of the finished product to the destination.
- Provide leadership and encouragement to less experienced personnel.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years' of experience leading technical project teams by providing clarity around scope, project milestones and project costs.
- A Process and ISO driven manufacturing background.
- Experience as a project manager in a manufacturing assembly plant. Preferably a machine automation company.
- Ability to influence and gain the respect of all levels of staff and peers.
- The drive to constantly improve leadership skills.
- A BSME engineering degree is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with machine components would be a plus.
