INDIRECT SITE BUYER
Primary Responsibilities
Located at Grace Lake Corporate Center (GLCC) in Van Buren Twp., near Ann Arbor, Michigan, this position will support the Indirect Site Buyer and will support GLCC purchasing requirements for Professional Services, MRO, Prototype and Engineering requirements.
Typical Duties
- Manage in country quote requests based on global discount agreements and/or preferred suppliers in accordance with the Sourcing policy. Provide quote summary documentation for final approval and supplier selection.
- Lead RFQ’s with suppliers and negotiate pricing and terms
- Track regional purchase order renewals and purchase order expiry of funds.
- Track and drive timely completion of requisition approvals and purchase order releases to suppliers.
- Track regional contracts and renewal schedules ensuring all regional contracts are reviewed and maintained through Indirect Purchasing processes.
- Support Invoice disputes with US suppliers
- Manage new supplier set up requirements. Follow up with suppliers to complete required forms and track through VGSS supplier set up process.
Requirements
Degree preferred:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Purchasing/Supply Chain, or equivalent area of study.
Desired Competencies/Experience
- Supply Chain/Purchasing degree preferred
- 1-3 years Purchasing experience
- Negotiation experience a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Project management/time skills
