The Electrical Engineer is responsible for gathering and analyzing technical data used to prepare basic electrical engineering designs for client projects including:
Power & Electrical Distribution
Electrical One-Line Drawings
Electrical Load Studies
Power Equipment List (Transformers, Switchgear, Motors, UPS etc.)
Area Classification
Other Electrical Drawings (Lighting, HT, etc.)
The Electrical Engineer reports to the Senior Electrical Engineer or Electrical Engineering Discipline Manager. Completed technical work is given to senior management for review and approval before presenting it to the client.
The Electrical Engineer should be aware that the design process includes visiting clients' facilities and performing physical work such as walking, standing, climbing ladders and lifting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
EIT certification desired
Experience in performing power distribution, utility coordination or control system calculations and design desired
Working knowledge of or familiarity with:
Microsoft Office products
AutoCAD 2-D CAD and 3-D CAD a plus
Electrical design tools
Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
Advanced degree a plus
FE certification desired, PE certification a plus
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. The Electrical Engineer should be aware that the design process includes visiting clients' facilities and performing physical work such as walking, standing, climbing ladders and lifting.
