Job Summary
This position reports directly to the Shop Operations Manager and is responsible for constructing electrical panels and components used in the manufacturing of Thermoforming machinery.
Job Description
- Uses blue prints or electrical schematics to assemble wiring, switches, cables, and other electrical pieces in an efficient manner to maximize production.
- Operates the equipment in a safe manner and reports hazards associated with the equipment or its operators to the Supervisor.
- Follows required procedures and uses appropriate tools to assist in the assembly process.
- Maintains/produces a level of output that will minimize production delays.
- Cleans and maintains an orderly work area.
- Communicates effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow.
- Assist other individuals in area when needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of electromechanical devices, electrical or industrial motor controls or circuitry, digital and analog circuits, soldering techniques, fundamentals of electronics.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Good communication skills relative to supervisor and other related departments.
- Ability to read blueprint drawings and electrical schematics.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Physical ability to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, lying down, and overhead.
- Ability to climb and work from a ladder.
- Ability to operate various shop tools including power and manually operated tools.
