Successful candidate will lead and oversee several site functions all in support of the production of aseptic pharmaceutical products. This role will work collaboratively with all other supporting functions to develop and implement initiatives and solutions to ensure world class productions of medicines. Overall responsibilities will include:
• EH&S
• Security
• Lead Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Manage Facilities and Operations support position with responsibility for: EH&S, Security, OWH, communications, and community involvement.
• Supports site master plan and site strategy implementation.
• Provides additional support to the operation on aseptic technique, inspections, high level SOP & PQS implementation, technical skills training, etc.
• New business and Technology Transfers.
Candidate will demonstrate personal leadership, initiative, judgment and accountability in day-to-day work activities in addition to exhibiting strong planning/organizational skills. Must possess strong communication skills and demonstrate integrity and cooperation in working with diverse colleagues/groups.
Responsible for effective leadership of assigned functions and performing as a member of the Site Leadership Team. The Sr. Mgr. EHS & Continuous Improvement will manage the site Environmental, Health, Safety and Security initiatives and programs.
The Sr. Mgr. EHS & Continuous Improvement will provide oversight and leadership to the Facilities and Operations coordinator role for the execution of the sites programs to include EH&S, OWH, Security, Communications, Community, facilities management and site LT support.
As a member of the SLT, the role will be expected to work with other SLT members in the execution of new business or any potential technical transfers or related projects. This will include providing technical oversight for these initiatives.
The Sr. Mgr. EHS & Continuous Improvement will lead the sites efforts in Operational excellence and continuous improvement. Duties in this area will include oversight of all proposed and ongoing projects, tracking of projects results, championing the ongoing development and implementation of innovative ideas and initiatives for the aseptic operations. Leads Visual Management, Leader Standard Work (LSW), and other CI / OpEx initiatives and tools.
The position is an active member of the SLT and will work collaboratively with operations, quality, engineering and all other functions to ensure manufacture of world class pharmaceuticals. Leadership skills required will require the ability to coach and mentor a direct report for professional growth. The main leadership responsibilities will require excellent influential leadership abilities in order to get results from cross functional team members.
This role will also provide technical support to the operation during investigations, aseptic training, and day to day activities, with an external point of view the Sr. Mgr. EHS & Continuous Improvement will complement Production Operations, Quality and Engineering strategies to ensure successful site performance.

Able to gather, analyze and interpret information and identify cause and effect relationships. Solutions are imaginative, practical, thorough, and in line with organization objectives. Able to adapt and respond positively to situations and people in order to meet changing work unit priorities. Operates within established HR policies and basic colleague relations guidelines.
EDUCATION:
A Bachelor's degree in engineering or science with minimum 10 years related experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in an aseptic manufacturing environment.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous leadership experience required. The ideal candidate will have aseptic manufacturing experience and a strong personal motivation and aptitude for coaching, leading and managing individuals and teams. An aptitude for understanding process technology and equipment, aseptic processing, proven leadership ability, decision making ability, and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Candidate must possess flexibility to respond to constantly changing conditions and priorities. Previous experience in process engineering or microbiology desired.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Expected to spend time split between shop floor and administrative areas. This is a Penicillin site; the candidate must NOT be allergic to Penicillin.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Job may require weekend/alternative shift work supporting the production schedule. Limited travel may be required.
