Position Type: Full Time or Part Time
Salary Range: Averages from $14.50 - $18.50 per hour with tips ($12.50 Per Hour, Plus Cash & Credit Tips) + Benefits
Supervisor: Café Shift Lead
Hours: Typical working hours range from 4:00am – 2:00pm
Summary/Objective: This position provides top-notch hospitality to our guests, assisting them in selecting, packing and ringing them up for their donuts, beverages and merchandise. Assists Shift Lead in stocking and maintaining organization and cleanliness of donut display case, coffee area and customer service area. Works with Shift Lead on maintenance and cleanliness of equipment, including: coffee brewer, coffee grinder, POS system, etc. Works with team members to fulfill orders for wholesale, café and catering customers. Assists Shift Lead in maintaining accurate inventories (FIFO).
Key Results Area #1: Hospitality
- Provides hospitality to guests, including serving donuts, coffee / beverages and merchandise to customers, ringing up transactions and making guest feel welcome and appreciated, while maintaining calm and friendly demeanor
- Coordinates with café team throughout shift to ensure highest level of hospitality is being offered to guests
Key Results Area #2: Prepare Orders
- Prepares (accurately and efficiently) orders for wholesale, café and catering customers
- Verifies and reconciles orders prepared to ensure they are filled accurately
- Maintains open communication with shift lead and / or Bakery Team to ensure accuracy of custom orders
- Maintains open communication with delivery team to verify accuracy of outgoing orders
Key Results Area #3: Cleaning and Maintenance
- Performs daily maintenance, cleaning and sanitization of café equipment and service areas
- Coordinates with shift lead and assists in completing prep, cleaning and maintenance tasks at open, throughout shift (as needed) and at closing
- Perform inspection of café equipment, service areas and storage areas to ensure cleanliness, sanitization and safety to company standards
Key Results Area #4: Opening and Closing
- Performs daily set up tasks: donut display, P.O.S. system, brew coffee, etc
- Perform inspection of café equipment, service areas and storage areas to ensure cleanliness, sanitization and safety to company standards prior to store opening, throughout shift and at store closing
Key Results Area #5: Communication
- Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
- Communicates customer and store needs to Shift Lead
- Maintains communication with bakery team and prep / clean up team to facilitate smooth transitions and ensure accuracy of orders, prep and production schedules

Physical Demands: Standard food service counter; requires standing for long periods of time and moving about the café area as necessary to complete orders. Routinely uses or is in contact with coffee grinders, coffee brewers, hot liquids and large speed racks. The team member must frequently lift or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 18 years or older
- 1 year of café / foodservice experience
- Understanding of food safety protocols
Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain authorization to work in the United States.
