Truck Driver DAY SHIFT - FULL TIME. MUST have current CDL Class B. We are seeking a skilled and responsible Class B Truck Driver to join our transportation team. As a Class B  Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a truck to transport materials and goods. Your expertise in driving commercial vehicles will contribute to the smooth and timely delivery of our products. Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Class B commercial truck equipped to transport materials and goods to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the truck and to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Secure cargo using appropriate strapping, tie-downs, or other securing methods to prevent shifting or damage during transportation.
• Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe and legal transportation operations.
• Communicate with dispatchers or supervisors to receive delivery instructions, updates, or changes in the schedule.
• Plan routes using maps or GPS systems to determine the most efficient and time-effective routes for deliveries.
• Load and unload materials or goods.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation, such as receipts or delivery confirmations.
• Adhere to maintenance schedules and report any mechanical issues or concerns with the truck or pneumatic equipment to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements:

• Valid Class B commercial driver's license.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a truck driver.  Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents in the past 10 years.
• Familiarity with pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance tasks for commercial trucks GVW 50,000#. Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet delivery schedules.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
• Good communication skills to interact professionally with dispatchers, supervisors, and clients.

Must be able to properly load and unload a stake body truck loaded with sheet, plate and structural shapes.  Must be able to bind load to bed of truck and balance load so as to pass MDOT weights and inspections. Duties may include grinding, spot welding, packaging and general shop duties. Must be able to lift 50#.  DRUG FREE/SMOKE FREE workplace. Pre-employment physical/drug screening required.
