Position Summary:
Dematic is seeking a Software QA Engineer Manager to lead a team of highly motivated software QA engineers.You will work closely with the various R&D teams within the department to test new software releases with a focus on automation. You will be responsible for resource planning and ensuring that high quality software is being developed. You will work closely with other QA managers to help coordinate any cross-team testing efforts.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of software engineering professionals.
Responsible for team buildup and personnel management, including interviewing candidates, hiring, and other essential management responsibilities.
Mentor, coach, and evaluate direct reports.
Define workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness
Interface/interact with internal and external customers
Participate in key decisions as part of the larger software management team.
Support the development and management of department budgets and business plans
Lead through enhancing and improving existing policies, products, and methods
Identify resource needs and develop justifications
Troubleshoot and resolve very complex problems and QA test planning and test design issues
Responsible for the overall success of functions and projects within domain of control, with the emphasis on software quality and speed to market.
Responsible for creating, collecting and documenting and reporting on software QA KPIs.
Excellent understanding of SDLC and Agile Development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban etc.)
A strong understanding of intralogistics software in the field of material handling solutions.
Secondary Job Responsibilities:
Write and execute manual/automation tests for developed software.
Participate in development and upkeep of testing tools and software
Participate in development and upkeep of software performance testing framework
Assist in design, implementation and upkeep of software emulation and automation testing frameworks.
Ability to generate technical and design documentation in relation to testing and emulation frameworks development and artifacts.
Assist in continuous performance testing.
Learn and apply new tools, technologies, and industry best practices
Assist in Continuous and On-Demand Software Roll-outs via supporting velopment automation tests
Ability to participate and if needed, perform technical product trainings for our internal customers

Java, Python, Javascript
Google Cloud Platform, Azure
Proficiency is requirements decomposition and analysis
Working knowledge of databases; preferably but not limited to Postgres / MS SQL-Server / Oracle.
Working knowledge of cloud technology (GCP / Azure)
Working knowledge of docker and container technology
Working knowledge of CI/CD processes

Additional Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent experience.
7 years of software QA experience.
2 years of direct team management or similar leadership experience.
Ability to travel 5% - 10%.
