The Nurse Manager will work closely with their team, assisting hands on with patient care. In addition to patient care, our ideal candidate will:
Assume 24-hour accountability for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operational and financial effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing services.
Develop policies, procedures and processes in coordination with other leaders to ensure the highest quality services are provided at all times to all customers.
Assure presence of a supportive and healthy work environment that promotes retention and embraces diversity.
Key responsibilities include unit based goal setting, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, standards of care, policy and procedure development and interpretation, human resource development, performance improvement and maintenance of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships.
Basic Qualifications:
Education- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Nursing or health related field
Licenses- Registered Nurse (RN) MI
Basic Life Support (BLS) Within 60 Days of hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Certification Within 90 Days of hire
Experience- 3 years of direct Nursing experience and 3 years Nursing Management experience or equivalent combination.

Education- Masters Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
Licenses- Certification in nursing administration or clinical certification within 12 months of assuming the role, or within 12 months of achieving eligibility to sit for the exam if not eligible upon hire into the role
Experience- Supervisory experience in an Emergency Department setting.
