Manage the day-to-day activities of the Inventory Replenishment department. Provide leadership and guidance on inventory decisions within the network and spearhead the team's continuous improvement effort. Work with manufacturing to ensure accurate and stable forecasts. Be a key contributor to a S&OP process between VSN and Viking Corp. Responsible for critical business functions like national replenishment levels, business processes, inventory communication, new product deployments, and more. Develop and maintain excellence within all departmental metrics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- National stocking strategy and stocking level accuracy
- Supplier/Vendor performance and expectation management
- CSR support and service
- Develop, monitor, and improve forecast accuracy
- Facilitate and be a key contributor to a S&OP process
- Ability to adapt accordingly to changes in demand to ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensures that departmental metrics are achieved or exceeded
- Monitors the metric performance of key suppliers and implement improvement initiatives where necessary
- Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and adhering to all budgetary requirements
- Ability to service all branch plant locations while optimizing shipping and freight costs
- Performing presentations in front of groups of employees and vendors
- Accountable for the accuracy and relevance of all Item Branch Plant data in JD Edwards
- Responsible for the training and development of all department members
- Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years in a Purchasing/ Inventory Management position
- Minimum of 3 years in a Supervisory/ Management role
