DaySpring Services is now hiring a full-time Maintenance Assistant. This individual is an essential member of the DaySpring Services team. He/she is responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment. The Maintenance Assistance works under the guidance of the Facilities Coordinator to ensure that DaySpring Services facilities and grounds are maintained to our high standard, clean, comfortable, safe, physically attractive, functional, and homelike.
This includes DaySpring Assisted Living, DaySpring Independent Living Apartments, Agape Home, and Agape Home at Blueberry Fields.
The maintenance assistant will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the Residences remain within state guidelines for heating, cooling, ventilation, electrical, plumbing and fire safety equipment. This job includes tasks such as lawn care, carpet cleaning, painting, general repairs, and more.
Seeking an individual who is self-motivated, hard-working, and enjoys working outdoors.
Job Duties include but not limited to:
- Landscaping (leaves, trim bushes, cut bushes)
- Painting rooms
- Carpet Cleaning
- Basic plumbing and electrical maintenance tasks
- Changing air filters, lightbulbs
- Performing monthly safety inspections of fire safety equipment.
- Snowblowing and de-icing walkways
