Job Summary
Work as part of the Quality team with responsibility for performing final quality inspection of finished products at the End of Production Line (EOL) prior to products being packed, released, and shipped to automotive OEM customers. The position verifies that finished products meet established quality requirements and identifies, documents, and reports nonconforming product before shipment.
1st Shift 6:00am - 2:30pm
2nd Shift 3:30pm - 12:00am
Supervisory Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Perform the essential manufacturing function (based on working instructions) and perform final inspection of finished products at the End of Production Line prior to packing and shipment.
- Inspect products for visual, functional, labeling, and other specified quality requirements in accordance with established work instructions, control plans, inspection standards, and customer requirements.
- Verify that product meets applicable specifications and quality requirements before being released for packing and shipment.
- Identify, segregate, and report nonconforming or suspect product in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure rejected or suspect material is properly identified and prevented from being inadvertently packed or shipped.
- Use and read measuring and inspection equipment as required, including gauges, rulers, calipers, strip gauges, visual aids, and other inspection tools.
- Verify product identification, quantity, packaging, labeling, and other applicable requirements prior to release for shipment.
- Complete inspection records, check sheets, and other required quality documentation accurately and timely.
- Maintain proper counts and communicate discrepancies, rejected material, or quality concerns to the appropriate Quality or Production Team Lead.
- Immediately communicate significant or recurring quality issues to the Quality Team and/or Production Team Lead.
- Support containment activities when nonconforming product is identified at the EOL inspection point.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area.
- Follow all applicable quality, safety, work instruction, and company procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Ability to work independently while supporting overall Quality and Production objectives.
- Ability to remain mobile within the work area and perform repetitive inspection activities as required.
