Conduct feasibility studies and engineering analyses for new concepts; propose advanced electronics architectures for forward and signal lighting systems; lead and participate in the design and simulation of electronic circuits to meet legal, customer, and internal requirements; participate in the electronics portion of pre-development projects, requests for quotations (RFQs), and requests for information (RFIs); lead the creation of design documentation such as block diagrams, circuit schematics, electronics BOMs, worst-case analyses, wire harness diagrams, DFMEA, and DVP&R; identify and communicate electronics issues to the design project leader and/or section manager; provide advanced electronics design and development expertise for timely support of new projects, implementation of new technologies, and other large and complex assigned projects; provide electronics design guidance and technical advice to team members for new product development for prototype and pre-production hardware; recommend and implement design changes to production products based on prototype testing results; research and develop design solutions to automotive lighting engineering issues; generate intellectual property and new concepts to improve electronics design capabilities; create and develop new techniques or methodologies for new products with new light sources, manufacturing techniques, and other emerging technologies; initiate and lead large-scale projects to enhance the electronics design team’s capabilities; maintain open communication with internal project teams and external customers and suppliers; manage time effectively to complete all program deliverables on schedule; and mentor and coach junior-level electronics engineers to elevate the overall skill level of the design team.
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor – Electronics Engineering, Electronic Electrical Design or a related field of study; will accept equivalent foreign degree
Experience: Three (3) years in the position above, Hardware Engineer or a related role.
Experience must include:
1. DFMEA, Simulations and CATIA;
2. Design of electronic circuits for automotive RCL, CHMSL, Head Lamps Display Solutions; and
3. EMI and EMC debugging
