Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Sales Administrator & Title Clerk to support dealership operations in Battle Creek, Michigan. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can balance customer-facing administrative support with accurate processing of vehicle sales and title documentation. The role requires strong organization, sound judgment, and the ability to keep records current while helping ensure compliance with Michigan dealership requirements.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain structured paper and electronic filing systems so sales, billing, and vehicle documents can be accessed quickly and accurately.
Prepare purchase-related paperwork for new and used truck and trailer transactions, confirming that forms are complete and submitted correctly.
Guide customers through required documentation by collecting necessary information, explaining next steps, and helping resolve paperwork questions.
Process title, registration, plate, tax, and lien documents through Michigan dealer systems and other applicable state portals.
Record and monitor vehicle transaction details to support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews while keeping required dealership logs up to date.
Assist with routine administrative deliverables such as reports, presentations, correspondence, and supporting documentation for the sales team.
Handle basic financial administration, including invoice review, expense tracking, and support for service billing records.
Maintain accurate files for sales activity, customer documentation, registration materials, and billing information.
Provide general office support and contribute to additional projects or administrative assignments as business needs change. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience in a dealership, title processing, sales administration, office administration, billing coordination, or a closely related role.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Google Workspace.
Familiarity with vehicle titling, registration, lien documentation, and related compliance procedures preferred.
Understanding of Michigan dealership recordkeeping practices, including transaction logs and title documentation, is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, along with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
