Essential Functions of the position:
• Learn to read job specification sheet and determine the correct product specifications such
as film width, gauge and treat levels.
• Learn set-ups, changeovers and general extrusion functions.
• Manage department paperwork in regards to manufactured materials.
• Perform all necessary quality checks required to insure product quality
• Develop skills to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of all equipment in the
department.
• Optimize product quality and productivity while controlling scrap levels
• Any and all other duties as assigned by the manager and/or designee.
Location: Sparta MI
Position Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Shift: 2nd or 3rd shift
Pay: $22-$30/hour based on experience
Qualifications:
- Must have at least one year of manufacturing production experience.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. High level of measuring ability.
- Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
