Entry-Level Fabricator

4-day work week. Fully paid health insurance. No experience needed. We'll teach you PVC welding.
Schedule: Four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday. Fridays off unless overtime is needed or requested.
About Us
Since 1969, Mapco has designed, built, and installed corrosion-resistant PVC pollution control systems for industrial customers, including scrubbers, mist eliminators, and fans. Our work keeps harmful emissions out of the air, and we're growing our fabrication team.
What You'll Do
- Learn to hot air weld PVC using welding rod
- Fabricate PVC ductwork, components, and equipment from shop drawings
- Measure, cut, and assemble sheet and pipe with automated equipment, saws, and hand tools
- Follow shop safety practices and wear required PPE
- Keep your work area clean and organized
- Potential for field installation work at customer sites
What We're Looking For
- Dependable, shows up on time, takes pride in the work
- Comfortable with basic hand tools and power saws
- Able to read a tape measure and do basic shop math
- Carpentry, woodworking, fabrication, or construction experience is a plus
- No welding experience needed. We train.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Willing to work overtime when needed
- Valid driver's license preferred
