ASTI Environmental has an opening for a full-time, skilled, detail-oriented, well-organized Asbestos/Lead Inspector.  We are looking for either an experienced and/or entry-level professional.

• Complete NESHAP asbestos inspections and other sampling of asbestos-containing materials in vacant and occupied commercial, industrial and residential buildings
• Complete lead-based paint inspections and risk assessments in vacant and occupied residential buildings, including the collection of paint chips, surface dust and soil samples
• Complete lead surveys and personal exposure assessments in various settings
• Perform Lead-in-Drinking Water sampling
• Perform Radon testing
• Assist with mold and/or indoor air quality evaluations including the collection of air, bulk and swab samples for mold
• Independently operate sampling equipment and direct reading instruments
• Environmental data management and analysis
• Assist in report writing, including preparation of abatement specifications
• Interface with client on jobsite
• Adheres to company policies and safety guidelines, along with EPA, OSHA, and local regulations
• Perform abatement oversight, air monitoring and on-site microscopic analysis utilizing NIOSH 582 methods
• Perform other duties as assigned

• A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent, required
• Current Asbestos Inspector License, NIOSH 582 Certification and HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certifications preferred
• Current Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor License and HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certifications preferred
• Proven writing and communication skills
• Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
