Position Purpose
This role will specifically focus on ensuring the successful operation of the facility by resolving mechanical issues, identifying quality concerns, and understanding the production threshold of the equipment. This is a full-time hourly position reporting to the Operations Manager and includes generous time off.
Essential Functions
- Troubleshoot all mechanical problems, repairing and maintaining grain handling equipment
- Performing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to identify and correct mechanical defects before they fail.
- Perform emergency maintenance on failed equipment
- Assist with the shutdown and startup of equipment on shut down projects
- Adhere to all OSHA and National Electrical Safety Code regulations and procedures
- Installation of various types of equipment
- Developing cohesive teams between the operations and maintenance groups to improve reliability
- Ability to perform industrial construction activities
- Additional duties, as assigned
Qualifications
- Two (2) years of on the job experience or equivalent education
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Experience in industrial mechanical maintenance and electrical controls
- Familiar with computerized maintenance managements systems
