Assignment Overview - Special Education Teacher (Eastpointe, MI)
We are seeking Special Education Teachers for a school-based assignment in Eastpointe, MI . In this role, you will provide specialized instruction and support to K-12 students with diverse learning and behavioral needs while collaborating with administrators, general education staff, and families to ensure student success.
Position Details
Location: Eastpointe, MI
Position: Special Education Teacher
Schedule: 31 hours per week
Pay Rate: $45+/hr based on experience and credentials
Contract Length: 8 Months
Start Date: 09/28/2026
Key Responsibilities
Provide individualized and small-group instruction to special education students.
Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, and families.
Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with special education requirements.
Participate in evaluations, IEP meetings, and progress reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Valid state teaching certification required.
Special Education certification and/or LBS1 endorsement preferred.
Minimum one year of teaching experience preferred.
Ability to work effectively with students requiring moderate behavioral support.
Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
