Assignment Overview - Special Education Teacher, MONROE, MI
This is an 8-month school-based Special Education Teacher assignment supporting K-12 students with special needs. The teacher will work closely with administrators, general education staff, and support teams to deliver specialized instruction, implement IEP goals, and provide academic and behavioral support in the classroom.

Pay Rate: $40+/hr based on experience and credentials
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction to students receiving special education services.
Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations.
Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families.
Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
Maintain required documentation and progress reports.
Participate in team meetings and student program planning.
Student Population & Environment
K-12 special education students.
Behavioral Support Level: Medium.
Medical Support Level: Level 3.
Classroom setting may vary depending on assignment needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
Valid state teaching certification.
Special Education certification preferred.
Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement preferred.
At least one year of teaching experience preferred.
CPR certification (if applicable).
Ability to meet all state, federal, and district requirements.
