About LowKey Automotive

LowKey Automotive LLC is a growing independent automotive repair shop in Warren, Michigan. We are looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, works well with a small team, and is comfortable handling a variety of general automotive repairs.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience and be comfortable performing repairs, as well as diagnosing common vehicle concerns.

This position is best suited for a technician who can confidently handle jobs involving steering, suspension, brakes, dashboard warning lights, engines, and engine accessories.

Responsibilities

• Perform automotive repairs

• Diagnose and repair steering and suspension systems

• Diagnose and repair brake systems

• Diagnose dashboard warning lights and common vehicle concerns

• Perform vehicle inspections and identify needed repairs

• Properly document repairs and vehicle conditions

• Follow established shop procedures and safety practices

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently

• Work professionally with the rest of the LowKey Automotive team

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional automotive repair experience

• Own professional set of automotive tools

• Michigan state certification in the categories in which you perform work

• Comfortable performing steering and suspension repairs

• Comfortable performing brake system repairs

• Comfortable diagnosing common dashboard warning lights

• Able to work independently while also being part of a small team

• Dependable and punctual

• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an automotive repair shop

• Experience with modern scan tools

• Basic diagnostic abilities

• ASE certifications

• Experience performing a wide variety of general automotive repairs

Compensation

Flat-rate pay based on experience, skill level, and qualifications.
