ThisroleisresponsibleformanagingalloftheactivitiesandpersonnelinourSoftwareEngineeringorganization.Functionsincludemiddlewareapplications(coordinationacrossthevehicle,powercontrol,statesandmodes)andfirepower(allturretinterfaces).
Responsibilities/Assignments:
ThisroleisresponsibleforprovidingleadershipandtechnicaldirectiontooursoftwareMiddlewareapplicationsandFirepowersoftwareengineersthatdevelopanddeliverhighqualityworkthatgoesintoourcombatvehicles.
Willconductinterviews,hireandmentornewemployeesensuringthetechnicallycompetencyissuccessfulinordertoexecuteprojects.
LeadstheproductdevelopmentandintegrationactivitiesfortheMiddlewareapplicationsandFirepowerarea.Ensuresthatthesoftwareisdesignedanddevelopedusingindustrystandardmethodsalongwithensuringthecodequality,performancestabilityandsecuritymeasures.
Providesguidanceonthehardwarerequirementsandspecificationsofthedesigndescriptionsperthecustomer'sspecs.
EnsuresthattheSAR(SpecialAccessRequirements),MilitaryStandards(DoD)andCDRL(ContractDataRequirementsList)arefollowedandincompliance.
Managessectionbudgetsandtimeframeschedulestoensuredeliverablesaremet,ontimeandwithinbudgetedcosts.
Isresponsibleforthecoordinationandassignmentoftasksfortheareasoftwareengineersaligningdutieswithexperiencelevelandskillsets.
Ensuresthatallofthesoftwaretoolsandtrainingforstaffismet.
Reviewsmanpowerdemandsandensuresaccuracyandstaffingcommitmentsaremet.
Performsquarterlyandyearlyperformancereviewsofpersonnelandconductsstaffmeetings.Createsanenvironmentofteamworkandinter-groupcoordinationamongststaff.WilladdresspersonnelissuesasrequiredinaccordancewiththeGDLSCodeofEthics.
Supportstheprogramleadsinachievingteamcommitmentswhenneeded.
Developsandtracksdepartmentmetrics.
Involvementandinputwithproposalsforcustomersalongwithpresentationswhenneeded.
Participatesintechnicalandprogramreviewsregardingvehiclesandsoftware.
MaybeinvolvedwithISOandCMMIauditsandcertificationsalongwithfollowingdepartmentandGDLSprocesses.

MinimumQualifications/Whatyoumusthave
BachelorofScienceinComputerScience,ComputerEngineeringorsimilarengineeringdiscipline.MBAaplus.
10yearsplusofworkrelatedexperience,3plusinamanagementrolepreferred.
ExpertlevelinMicrosoftOfficesuiteapplications.
KnowledgeandusesupportingLinux,UnixandutilizingcodemanagementtoolsGITandBitbucket,Java,C#,C++,CPython,QT
KnowledgeofISO9001/ISO14001,OHSAS18001andCMMIstandards.
