Job Title: General Ledger Accountant
Job Description

As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and posting journal entries, handling payroll, and managing bank transactions. You will perform monthly account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Additionally, you will maintain and reconcile general ledger financial reports and supporting schedules, support audits by providing documentation and explanations to auditors, and ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. You will also assist with budgeting and financial analysis activities while identifying opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency within accounting operations.
Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries, payroll, and bank transactions.
Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger financial reports and supporting schedules.
Support audits by providing documentation and explanations to auditors.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with budgeting and financial analysis activities.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency within accounting operations.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Excel, including spreadsheets, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPS.
Experience with reconciliations and general ledger management.
Ability to post payroll entries.
Familiarity with working in an automotive or fast-paced environment.
Experience with handling a high volume of invoices, SAP, and bank transactions.

Work Environment
The role is situated in a cubicle layout within a large space, allowing for close collaboration with team members. Flexible start times are offered, allowing you to begin your day anytime between 7 and 9 AM. You will also be eligible for a food stipend of $6 per day at the cafeteria.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
