The Early Childhood Education Center Associate Teacher supports the delivery of a high-quality early childhood education program within the University of Michigan-Flint Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC). Working under the functional direction of the Lead Teacher, this position helps implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that reflects the Center's Reggio Emilia-inspired philosophy.

Responsibilities:
100 % Assist the Lead Teacher with curriculum, lesson plans, learning centers, activities, outdoor experiences, and classroom routines.
- Provide active supervision and attentive care while maintaining required ratios and group size.
- Support arrival, departure, meals, toileting or diapering, rest, transitions, and daily care routines.
- Use positive guidance and support children's cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional development.
- Assist with observations, assessment information, portfolios, classroom records, and family communication.
- Prepare, organize, clean, sanitize, and maintain classroom materials, learning areas, and equipment.
- Support inclusion and implement established care, accommodation, and behavior-support plans as directed.
