Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Closures manufacturing engineer to support the design, launch, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for developing and implementing assembly processes, tooling, equipment, and automation solutions related to vehicle closures including doors, hoods, decklids, liftgates, and associated assemblies.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Lead manufacturing process planning activities from program kick-off through launch and production
Develop process specifications, work instructions, standardized work, and manufacturing documentation
Support equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and buyoff activities
Analyze production issues
Compensation: $40-45/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
10+ years of experience working in a similar position and prior launch/install experience
Experience supporting body shop, body construction, or closures
Experience with hem die (specialized tooling component used in the hemming process during the manufacturing of closures such as doors, hoods, decklids, liftgates, and tailgates)
