Duties
- Assist with roofing repairs, metal roofing, and quotations for projects according to construction plans and technical drawings
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to perform tasks efficiently and safely
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Follow all construction safety regulations, including proper ladder use and safety harnesses during elevated work
- Possibly perform framing carpentry, trim carpentry, caulking, masonry, as needed for roofing projects
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols such as construction site safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Conduct outdoor work activities including roof inspections, siding repairs, and installation of single-ply membrane roofing systems
Skills
- Strong knowledge of roofing repair techniques and materials including metal roofing and single-ply membrane systems
- Experience with construction quoting and reading construction plans or blueprints
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and safety harnesses for elevated work
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocol adherence
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and technical specifications accurately
- Prior construction site experience with outdoor work environments
- Skills in caulking, remodeling, tile laying, masonry, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, heavy lifting, restoration work, metal stud framing, handyman tasks, and masonry work are highly desirable
