This regular, full-time support staff position is being filled for two positions, with one position assigned to each of the following schedule options:
- Position 1: Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexible or extended hours as needed by the department or the College.
- Position 2: During the academic semester, the schedule will be:
- Monday, Thursday, and Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Tuesday and Wednesday: 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with flexible and/or extended hours as needed by the department or College.
- During the non-academic semester, the schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Regular on-campus presence is expected for all KCC employees. Any flexible and/or hybrid work schedules are subject to review, approval, and/or change based on the needs of the College.
Position Summary
This position provides administrative support to students as well as department management, faculty, and staff. Assist students with all aspects of the enrollment process and provide them with all study materials necessary to complete their programs, including various online offerings. Perform reception duties and various data entry processes, prepare documents and reports, and respond to inquiries. Detect potential avenues for optimizing team efficiencies, automation, and better utilizing resources. Manage the online reputation of Industrial Trades through copyediting and maintaining the Industrial Trades content on the College's official website.
Physical Demands
The job responsibilities are performed in an office area and presentation venues. Travel by car required. The job has intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward (8 - 45 pounds). Typically requires regular use of one or more physical senses of medium intensity and long duration. Must meet reasonable deadlines, quotas or demands for accuracy, and, may be involved in some mildly unpleasant situations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited college or university AND one (1) year of relevant experience OR one (1) year post-secondary education from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of relevant experience OR three (3) years of relevant experience.[If post-secondary education is a factor in meeting minimum qualifications, please ensure unofficial transcripts are uploaded.]
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in an active, multi-tasked, automated work environment
- Strong customer service skills to aid assisting students.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work with MS Office suite at an intermediate level.
- Basic knowledge of database design and management.
Preferred but not Required
- Experience with Ellucian Colleague or other similar systems.
- Computer programming experience.
Proposed Salary
According to the published support staff salary schedule, Classification Pay Grade 13, 2026-2027 starting hourly wage range, step one $23.40 to step five $28.16. Internal applicants may refer to Article 22, Section 5B.

Essential Function Admission and Registration Processes Description
- Responsible for processing company-sponsored billing authorizations and dual enrollment paperwork to ensure proper billing for all completed courses.
- Provide orientations and tours to students and visitors on RMTC layout and policies, ensuring students have the foundation needed to succeed.
- Assist company-sponsored, dual-enrolled, self-pay and financial aid students with entire registration and orientation process.
- Guide and assist financial aid recipients in completing the FACTS payment plan and understanding documentation and performance requirements, and aid payment.
- Accept and record payments.
- Maintain registration and sponsor authorization hard records as well as digital records of sponsor authorizations.
- Enter information into, maintain and update the time clock for financial aid, dual-enrolled, and company-sponsored students.
Essential Function Training Materials Description
- Provide students with all books and course materials and complete student enrollment in eight third-party online training sites per curriculum requirements.
- Register students for standardized tests and certification testing, serve as proctor for testing sessions, and input and maintain testing data log.
- Answer technical and non-technical questions, analyze, and resolve problems, if within capability to do so.
- Maintain documentation of all online ordering procedures and be proficient at enrolling students in the various online learning programs.
- Troubleshoot problems with online learning vendors.
- Maintain security and enforcement policies and procedures related to computer use.
- Work independently to resolve escalated technical issues with company representatives of online training providers.
- Assign seats and permissions to faculty and students.
- Manage inventory levels for candidate IDs and tests.
