Our client is seeking a Dispatcher to oversee transportation move management from assignment through final delivery. In this role, you will ensure freight moves efficiently, customers remain informed, and carriers receive exceptional support throughout the shipment lifecycle.

Key ResponsibilitiesTransportation Operations
Manage shipments from assignment through final delivery
Monitor load boards and ensure freight is covered in a timely manner
Source and secure carrier capacity within established rate guidelines
Maintain accurate shipment status updates within the Transportation Management System (TMS)
Track pickup and delivery performance to ensure service expectations are met
Identify delays, service risks, and transportation disruptions before they impact customers
Resolve transportation exceptions and operational challenges
Escalate unresolved issues while documenting action plans and next steps
Monitor shipment activity and proactively communicate updates to internal teams and customers
Carrier & Customer Service
Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers and transportation providers
Build and maintain strong carrier relationships to support capacity needs
Provide proactive shipment updates, ETAs, and exception notifications
Partner closely with account management and operations teams to ensure exceptional service
Troubleshoot service issues and coordinate resolutions efficiently
Balance carrier needs, customer expectations, and profitability goals
Deliver a high level of customer service in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
Monitor profitability of assigned shipments
Document carrier rejections, coverage gaps, and capacity challenges
Maintain accurate transportation records and shipment documentation
Support operational reporting and data integrity initiatives
Assist with transportation performance tracking and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
Previous experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, brokerage, customer service, or supply chain operations preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is a plus
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with carriers and customers
Work Environment & Schedule
Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Rotating shift: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
One weekend per month on a rotating basis

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $55000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
