Salary: Auditor: $60,000-$75,000 / Senior Auditor: $75,000-$90,000

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Internal Audit, this position performs risk-based operational, financial, IT, and compliance audits to evaluate university governance, risk management, and internal controls. The Senior Auditor performs the same responsibilities with greater independence and handles more complex audits.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and conduct operational, financial, compliance, and IT audits.

Perform risk assessments and develop audit objectives, procedures, and programs.

Evaluate internal controls, compliance, security, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Document audit work papers, findings, and recommendations.

Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.

Review allegations of fraud and conduct appropriate audit procedures.

Develop data analytics and continuous monitoring tools.

Support external auditors, consulting activities, and special audit projects.

Maintain knowledge of auditing, compliance, information security, and technology standards.
Required Qualifications:
Auditor:
-
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.

Two years of auditing or related experience, including some IT auditing.

Experience writing audit reports and strong understanding of internal controls.

Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to handle confidential information.

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Understanding or ability to develop knowledge of IT and Agile audit practices.
Senior Auditor:
-
All Auditor qualifications.
-
Four additional years of auditing or related experience.

Experience conducting the full audit lifecycle with minimal supervision.

CPA, CIA, CISA, or other relevant professional certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Master's degree or relevant professional certification.
-
Higher education, SAP, or public accounting experience.
-
Advanced IT auditing, data analytics, or risk assessment experience.
-
Knowledge of HIPAA, FERPA, PCI, GLBA, NIST, COBIT, GTAG, IIA, and ISACA standards.

Experience leading audit teams.
