Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Owner / Business Analyst to drive the delivery of technology solutions supporting Supply Chain and Logistics operations. This role will be responsible for translating business needs into actionable product requirements, managing the product backlog, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of business value through Agile methodologies.
The ideal candidate will possess strong domain expertise in logistics and supply chain processes, exceptional communication skills, and experience working closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and product leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Requirements Management
Create and maintain comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) that clearly define business problems, objectives, constraints, and expected outcomes.
Define and document Epics, Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
Translate operational workflows and business processes into detailed product requirements.
Establish product vision, objectives, success metrics, and sprint goals.
Maintain and prioritize the product backlog to align with business priorities.
Support quarterly planning, roadmaps, and capacity forecasting activities.
Ensure delivered functionality meets acceptance criteria and business expectations.
Backlog Management & Agile Delivery
Create, refine, prioritize, and retire backlog items as needed.
Manage dependencies across initiatives, epics, features, and user stories.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including:
Sprint Planning
Daily Stand-Ups
Backlog Grooming
Sprint Reviews
Retrospectives
Collaborate with engineering teams to estimate and size user stories.
Validate completed work and approve progression through development, testing, and release phases.
Coordinate product demonstrations and stakeholder reviews.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Work closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, engineering, and UX/UI teams to define product needs and priorities.
Communicate product vision, roadmap, delivery timelines, and status updates.
Facilitate discussions to gain stakeholder alignment and buy-in.
Support development teams by clarifying requirements, business objectives, and expected outcomes.
Assist in defining high-level solution approaches and data-driven product improvements.
Develop stakeholder communications related to product enhancements and releases.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field.
3+ years of experience in:
Product Ownership
Business Analysis
Supply Chain Technology
Logistics Technology
Operations Technology
Related technology-driven business roles
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements.
Domain expertise in Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Transportation, or Supply Chain Management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Willingness to travel up to 25% for warehouse visits, planning sessions, and stakeholder workshops.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), or Supply Chain platforms.
Knowledge of process mapping and workflow modeling tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro.
Experience with user behavior analytics and reporting tools.
Experience developing, tracking, and analyzing operational KPIs and business metrics.
Familiarity with data-driven product management and process improvement initiatives.
Compensation: - $100,000 to $145,000 + 10% Cognizant's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 10/8/2026
