Position Purpose
Our External Relations Department is seeking a Program Lead I & II that provides direct leadership and instructional support at an educational institution and ensures students experience high-quality, engaging, structured out-of-school-time programming.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead daily program implementation.
- Facilitate academic and enrichment activities.
- Support math, literacy, science, STEM, financial literacy, leadership, and career programming.
- Build positive relationships with students.
- Monitor attendance and participation.
- Implement project-based learning activities.
- Support student goal-setting.
- Assist with student assessments.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate student needs to site leadership.
- Support family engagement.
- Participate in staff training and quality-improvement activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree Preferred in education, youth development, social services, STEM, business, nonprofit management, or related field preferred.
- Experience working with high-school students or adolescents preferred.
- Experience in education, youth development, afterschool programming, STEM, mentoring, tutoring, or community programming preferred.
- Ability to successfully complete required background checks and youth-serving requirements.
- Ability to participate in required training.
- Ability to travel to one of the Michigan counties listed
- Must be able to lead both an after-school and a summer program
- Must be able to lead a group of 50-70 students
