Hinduja Tech, Inc. is in need of a Design Release Engineer(s) to work in Farmington Hills, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to assist in managing the design activity for responsible components/systems from concept to launch. Work with design studio to achieve feasible theme requirements. Work with other internal groups (Physical & Functional Design and Integration (PFDI), safety, cost, Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH), Human Machine Interface (HMI) etc.) to ensure all functional and safety requirements are met on assigned components/systems. Conduct working level meetings with internal/external teams. Attend and present in design reviews, change management, issue management meetings. Work with suppliers to ensure they meet all client requirements and deliver to program milestones. Own and maintain all documentation for assigned programs – open issues, Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Design Validation Planning & Report (DVP&R) etc. Forefront Tooling Kick Off (TKO) activities with all cross functional teams. Support benchmarking, value optimization, and quality related assignments. Own and maintain cost, weight, and timing of assigned components/systems. Execute change management to ensure launch is seamless and open issues at plant/in field are addressed (Common Change Document (CCD) / Change Notice (CN) / Interim Authorization Approval (IAA) / Production Evaluation Request (PER) etc.). Pull and manage part numbers in Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM), Teamcenter, and other systems. Manage all Sync releases in Teamcenter with support from Designers and suppliers. Conduct root cause analysis and support through closure of all open issues. Populate and submit source packages on time to support program timing.
Must have a Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering (any), or a related field, plus two (2) years of automotive engineering experience as an Automotive Engineer, Lead Design Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, or related position. The two (2) years of automotive engineering experience must include experience with the following: CATIA V5, Enovia, and Teamcenter.
In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering (any), or a related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-Bachelor’s Degree automotive engineering experience. Two (2) years of the five (5) years of progressive post-Bachelor's Degree automotive engineering experience must include experience with the following: CATIA V5, Enovia, and Teamcenter.
All experience may be acquired concurrently. Travel and/or relocation may be required. Frequency of travel approximately 10% per year. International travel is not required. Domestic travel and relocation to unanticipated locations throughout the United States required as needed based on Hinduja Tech Inc. business needs. Incidental telecommuting may apply. EOE.
