Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunication Systems, or a related field plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Position also requires 6 years of experience in the following: Automotive connectivity, telematics, and wireless system architecture, leading end-to-end design for TCU/NAD, modem platforms, RF systems, antennas, and cloud integration; System Design experience based on Samsung, Qualcomm, and Mediatek Modem Chipsets; 4G/5G (NSA/SA), GNSS, Wi Fi, Bluetooth, and C V2X technologies, DSDA, DSDS, Dual Rx- DSDS, including hands-on leadership in modem configuration, mobility/handover strategy, IMS/VoLTE/VoNR, PLMN management, and RF performance optimization; architectural leadership across vehicle categories, including 2 wheelers, 4 wheelers, commercial vehicles, and autonomous platforms, with a strong understanding of vehicle EE networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), sensor connectivity, and cloud/edge communication architectures; RF, protocol, and network diagnostics, including interpretation of QXDM/QCAT logs, PCAPs, modem traces, and KPIs to drive root cause analysis and system-level issue resolution (attach failures, mobility issues, throughput bottlenecks); Architecting OTA ecosystems (FOTA/SOTA), backend telemetry, diagnostics (UDS/DoIP), data flow models, secure API frameworks, and vehicle-to-cloud communication pipelines at production scale; Functional Safety and Cybersecurity, including ISO 26262, ISO 21434, UNECE R155/R156, and demonstrated ability to embed safety/security concepts into system architecture, reviews, and design governance; Demonstrated senior cross-functional and external leadership, influencing OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, chipset vendors, and global carriers; Driving requirements definition, architecture documentation (ICDs/specifications), certification strategies, long-term connectivity technology roadmaps, leading cross-functional engineering teams, driving technical decision-making, mentoring junior architects/engineers, managing external suppliers, and influencing OEM and carrier stakeholders. Requires up to 15% domestic travel throughout U.S. Telecommuting permitted.
