Position Summary
Dow Credit Union is seeking a part-time Member Care Center / Call Center Representative to provide outstanding customer service to members through telephone, chat, and other communication channels.
As a voice of Dow Credit Union, the Member Care Center / Call Center Representative helps ensure warmth, professionalism, and a willingness to assist are reflected in every member interaction. This position provides account support, performs basic banking transactions, troubleshoots member concerns, educates members about products and services, and identifies opportunities to meet additional financial needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Member Service & Support
- Answer telephone calls, chats, and other member inquiries.
- Greet members in a courteous and professional manner and work to build positive relationships throughout each interaction.
- Answer member questions and resolve concerns with patience and professionalism.
- Troubleshoot problems and provide solutions involving member accounts.
- Handle as many member requests as possible directly and forward calls to the appropriate individual or department when necessary.
- Maintain excellent customer service, including during interactions that may require additional patience.
Banking & Account Services
Assist members with basic banking transactions and account services, including:
- Processing withdrawal requests.
- Looking up account information.
- Checking deposits.
- Posting loan payments.
- Completing general ledger transactions.
- Processing account transfers.
- Preparing wire transfers.
- Issuing official checks.
- Performing maintenance on member accounts.
Products, Services & Relationship Development
- Educate members about Dow Credit Union products and services.
- Quote current savings rates.
- Quote consumer loan rates and terms.
- Use product knowledge and a consultative approach to identify member needs.
- Cross-sell appropriate financial products and services.
- Help members identify solutions that support their financial needs and goals.
Security & Compliance
- Follow all applicable security practices when handling member accounts and financial information.
- Handle confidential member information responsibly and professionally.
- Follow credit union procedures when processing financial transactions and account requests.
Required Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- Two or more years of customer service experience required.

Work Schedule
Dow Credit Union's Member Care Center operates during the following hours:
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
Part-time shifts will be scheduled within these operating hours.
