Maintenance Mechanic III

Currently there is an opening for a Maintenance Mechanic II in our Metals division on 1st shift. This position will ensure that all plant equipment and machinery is maintained in working order. Build and rebuild equipment to meet manufacturing needs. Perform general building and site maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain all equipment in the Business Unit.
Keep all equipment in safe operating conditions.
Perform preventive maintenance.
Install new equipment as required.
Perform safety inspections on all equipment.
Repair fork trucks as required.
Schedule repair work on equipment based on production needs.
Troubleshoot complicated electrical problems including PLCs, variable frequency drives, programmable
controls, servo controls, etc.
Fabricate fixtures, guards or parts to maintain or improve the equipment.
Perform typical electrical, plumbing, pipefitting, welding or machine work to maintain the equipment.
Make out purchase requisitions for repair parts and replacement stock items.
Be able to recognize process problems and help find solutions for them.
Look for opportunities to improve equipment efficiency or process improvements.
Maintain all records of repairs made to equipment.
Update any electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic changes made to equipment on the control drawings.
Work independently without supervision.
Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery.
Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment and methods.
Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Continually looks for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
2-3 years or progressive work responsibility
Mechanically inclined
Strong independent judgement and ability to work independently

Additional Requirements:
Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident ('Green Card')
